In September, the EPA announced a first-ever federal carbon pollution standard for every new fossil-fuel generated power plant built in America. These measures will protect public health, create jobs, and help grow our economy by encouraging investment in cleaner energy sources. Power plants, especially old, dirty coal plants, are the nation’s single largest source of climate change pollution, so this is a major step in the right direction.
The world needs this kind of climate action—and MUCH more. Be a part of the solution.
The public comment period for this important proposed rule closes on March 10. The fossil fuel industry will be trying to generate more public comments because they’d like to halt carbon pollution controls, but now is our moment to show the Obama administration that the public overwhelmingly demands climate change action.
Send a letter now for the public record and help us demand climate action now. Show the president and the nation that you support this climate action and even bolder steps in the future.
